* Radioecology, biodiversity and biological recourses;

* Radioecological state of soils and plant production;
* Radioecological studies and assessment of the quality of plant production and food  concerning protection of soil and human health;
* Application of modern analytical methods and approaches in radioecology of soils, plants and waters as National Reference Laboratory in the field;

* Systamatizing a database from the national monitoring framework of radioecology and radioisotopic studies.

* Study of soil to plant migration of technogenious and natural radionuclides, investigation of their accumulation in agricultural production. Development of methods for reduction of radionuclides’ assimilation by plants and decrease of the effect of acute gamma-irradiation;
* Determination of natural and men-made radionuclides content in soil, plant, water and other environmental elements as part of the radioecological monitoring;
* Investigation of radionuclides behavior in ecosystems of different agroecological country regions, potentially exposed to radioactive contamination;
* Development, mastering and implementation in the laboratory practice of contemporary procedures for estimation of radionuclides content;
* Testing radionuclides content in soils, sediments, plants, water, foods and food products .
